Most people in this world do behave like a bunch of crabs. Why do I say so?
Here's a story that I have heard from a brilliant motivation speaker:
When you catch your first crab and put it into a container, you need to close the lid so that the crab could not climb out from the container. But when you put in another crab into the same container, you no longer need to close the lid, because both crabs would no longer be able to climb out from the container. Why? Because whenever one crab tries to climb out from the container, the other crab will cling on to its leg and pull it down. Most people in our lives do behave like this. Whenever you are on a path towards a better future, some of your old mates will try to pull you back into your old life by pouring cold water on your new adventure. Because if you really make things happen and enjoy having a better life, this would prove to them about their wrong judgement and inadequacies. Thus, in order for them remain as right, their only way is to talk you out of your plans, so that you remain as who you are, and they are right about it. Sadly, this is how they justify their beliefs.
Would you give up your better future for the majority bunch of crabs?
Or would you stick with the minority few people who genuinely would like to help you succeed in life?
